Ms. Franklin, Founder and Owner of BioTech Primer, received a M.S. in
Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Franklin currently leads BioTech
Primer's business efforts, including business development, marketing, and finance.
She also helped author and edit the BTP BioTech curriculum and oversaw
the development of BioPrinciples Online, an eight-hour, highly interactive
e-learning course on the basics of biotechnology.
Ms. Franklin began her biotech career at MdBio, Inc., an organization that promotes
the Maryland biotechnology industry. As Vice President of Education and Training,
she headed the organization's workforce development and education efforts for
six years. Her most notable accomplishment during her tenure was the development
of the MdBioLab, a mobile biotechnology lab that visits high schools throughout
the state of Maryland. |

Mr. Briscuso, Strategic Advisor to BioTech Primer, has been associated with the
biotechnology industry since early 1991. Mr. Briscuso was one of the original employees
of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), and prior to its formation, Mr.
Briscuso spent two years with the Industrial Biotechnology Association (IBA). Mr.
Briscuso received his B.S. from Auburn University and his J.D. from Georgetown University
Law Center. He is a member of the Maryland Bar Association. Until late 2005, Mr.
Briscuso served as the Executive Director of BIO and among other things was responsible
for the Annual BIO International Convention. He left BIO to start a new business
and currently serves as the Chairman of the Life Sciences Conference Group LLC and
the Chairman and President of Advanced MedTech Conferences LLC (producers of AdvaMed
2008). |

Dr. Burnette is the Director of Alliance Biosciences, which was formed to address
the specific needs of the bioscience research community. Alliance Biosciences provides
a full range of engineering services for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies,
biological process scale-up, and assistance with biosafety plans, reviews and audits.
Dr. Burnette consults as a scientist and Project Manager on full-discipline engineering
projects for medical testing, as well as the design and implementation of biosafety
operations and audit programs. Dr. Burnette has extensive expertise with regard
to biosafety compliance issues, drawing both from his own microbiological bench
research experience and his extensive contact and familiarity with the CDC’s
Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories and the NIH Design Policy
and Guidelines, as well as other pertinent regulatory policies. |

Dr. Burke was an instructor for Biotech Primer in 2006. Recently Dr. Burke rejoined
BioTech Primer as Director of Instruction and is charged with customizing training
for clients as well as delivering training sessions. She received her B.S. in Biological
Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from
the University of South Alabama. Prior to joining BioTech Primer, Dr. Burke conducted
research on the molecular pathogenesis of respiratory syncytial virus and Lassa
fever virus at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA. In addition to her
years of research experience Dr. Burke has a strong background in scientific writing,
having worked as a patent writer at Isis Pharmaceuticals in Carlsbad, CA. Dr. Burke
has also taught biology and biotechnology classes at San Diego Miramar College.

Ms. Muir received her Bachelors' of Science in Political Science from Univerity
of South Florida with a concentration in International Relations. She started
her career as an Operations Manager for several large companies handling all inbound
and outbound freight logistics and operations from their Vermont facilities. She
currently handles all Administrative and Logistics aspects of BioTech Primer's day-to-day
operations. |
